Kings Canyon

Le 28 septembre, nous avons fait la route Uluru-Kings Canyon. Il faut compter 4h30 de route! On dit que c'est à côté mais à nouveau on oublie que c'est à l'échelle Australienne ^^ Dans le centre rouge, il est bien d'avoir un 4x4 pour gagner du temps: regardez sur la carte, tous les pointillés symbolisent des routes non goudronnées...ça fait faire des détours!

On September 28, we drove Uluru-Kings Canyon, it took us 4h30! We say that everything is close but again we forget that it's Australian scale ^^ In the red center, it's good to have a 4x4 to save time: look on the map, all the dots symbolize unsealed roads...You do lots of detours!

Il n'y avait pas de camping gratuit là bas donc on a passé la nuit à Kings Canyon Resort. C'était bondé mais on avait pas le choix. Il y avait plein de dingos partout! Même s'ils s'habituent à vivre avec des humains, ils restent sauvages, du coup il fallait faire attention à ne pas oublier sa poubelle dehors!

There were no free camp there so we spent the night at Kings Canyon Resort. It was very crowded but we had no choice. There were lots of dingos everywhere! Even if they get used to live with humans they stay wild, so we had to be careful not to let our bins outside!

on a choisi celle qui fait tout le tour au sommet: la Rim Walk, et ça nous prendra 2h30. Le plus dur: les escaliers au début! après c'est quasiment que du plat ;) / we picked the one where we do the all tour at the rim: the Rim Walk, and it will take 2h30 to make it. The worst part: the stairs at the beginning! then it's pretty flat ;)

ces couleurs! <3 les ondulations sur les roches prouvent que des lacs étaient présents il y a 400 millions d'années / these colours! <3 the ripples on the rocks prove that lakes were here 400 million years ago.

la réalité: des hordes de touristes (mais on y est allés hors haute-saison donc ça allait quand même) / the reality: crowds of tourists (but we went out of the pick-season so it was okay)

la randonnée peut être dangereuse à certains endroits / the hike can be risky sometimes

notre endroit préféré: Kings Creek! au milieu du Canyon se trouve une luxuriante vallée avec plein d'arbres et pendant le wet une cascade, une rivière, un lac! l'endroit est tout simplement magique <3 / our favorite place: Kings Creek! in the middle of the Canyon is a lush valley with lots of trees and during the wet there is a waterfall, a river and a lake! this place is just magical <3

cette façade est la plus photographiée à Kings Canyon, on a donc fait les touristes ^^ / this wall is the most famous pic of the canyon, so we did our tourists ;p

fin de la randonnée, on a ADORE!! ces couleurs, les paysages, la vallée au milieu, c'était vraiment superbe <3 / end of the hike, we LOVED it!!! these colours, landscapes and the valley in the middle, it was gorgeous <3

Sur la route pour repartir à Alice, la voiture devant nous a limite pilé pour éviter un lézard, on s'est aussi arrêté car ce n'était pas n'importe lequel: un thorny devil!!! en liberté! et selon le monsieur ils sont inoffensifs donc j'ai dépassé ma peur et réussi à le prendre sur ma main youuuh :D

On the road to Alice, the car in front of us nearly braked to avoid a lizard, we also stopped because it was not any: a thorny devil! in the wild! and according to the man they are harmless so I overcome my fear and managed to take it on my hand youuuh :D
